At the end of 1960th, the Museum obtained two artworks of the renowned artist O. Guschin, whose name was tightly bound with the Kiev Factory of the Artistic Glass, where he fruitfully worked and created works which now represent Kiev school of blown glass in the exposition of our Museum.

     One of O. Guschin’s works is the cover for collected songs «Strings of heart» depicting fantastic bluebird among red and dark blue leaves made in the technique of cloisonné enamel.

     In the 1970th the collection was replenished by the complete sets of womanish decorations by Kiev artist V. Druzenko.

     In 1987 the personal exhibition of the Georgian artist Tsalkolamanidze took place in the halls of Museum. The Museum now owns three works of this artist: “Red bull”, «White deer» and «Red deer», which were created in 1983 in the technique of cloisonné enamel.

     In 2007 «Collection of the flowers queen», a personal exhibition of Y. Boroday, changed the vision and perception of modern interpretation of age-old and precious technique not only among the visitors but also among the specialists of the Museum.

     In 2008 Museum opened the exhibition named «Boroday’s Studio», where eight artists presented their works, among them T. Turdiiva, A. Ryabchuk, I. Fed'ko, T. Il'ina, T. Tadeeva-Barker, L. Mis’ko, Y. Boroday, and also the Honored artist of Ukraine O. Boroday. The exhibition had the success and, as the result of this event, a decision to carry through a festival of enamels had been made.

     «Castles of distant childhood» was the name of the personal exhibition of the Honored artist of Ukraine S. Vol’skiy (Lviv), which took place in December, 2008. Not only the easel paintings were exhibited, but also the jewelry.

     Nowadays the permanent exhibition which represents works of art of Ukrainian enamel artists of the end of XX - begin XXI century has been formed in the Museum.

     We hope that our expectations and efforts will be supported by Ukrainian enamel artists and in the near future the Museum will be able to acquaint the citizens and guests of Kyiv with creative works and achievements in development of enamel art of our motherland.

     We are thankful to all, who supported the idea of conducting the festival of enamels in Kiev: to the artists and colleagues, to our partners, in particular to the staff of the Yalta Museum who provided an opportunity to see collection of cloisonné enamel of China and Japan of XIX century. Among those, who supported the idea of conducting the festival, are the representatives of different cities, schools, trends. We are pleased, that among the participants there are the representatives of Odessa, Izmail, Khmel’nitskiy, Uzhgorod, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhia, Lvov, Yalta, Simpferopol and Mariupol, and also known foreign artists from Hungary, Russia, Georgia, Romania, Spain and France.
